COMMITTEES AND COUNCILS

 

The NIBCA is a membership-driven association. Our events and initiatives would not be possible without our committees and all their dedicated hard work. New members are always a welcome addition, so always be vigilant and check for new opportunities to join one of these dynamic and active groups.   • 2017 Chairman

  • Meets the 4th Thursday of the month from 4 – 5 pm at varying location in CDA, ID
  • This council organizes the major social membership events of the NIBCA such as the annual golf tournaments and the Gone Wild event. The Council is made up of NIBCA Associate members and meets as necessary to plan events.

  • Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12 – 1, NIBCA office.
  • This committee includes area municipal, county, and regulatory body representative addressing critical issues for our industry who understand the importance and value of a healthy new home construction industry in Idaho.

  • Energetic and goal-minded members of the NIBCA are committed to this group. The foundation of the Membership Team is to recruit and retain new members. They organize membership drives, new member orientations and supervise the GMM’s

  • Meets at varying times throughout the year at the NIBCA office
  • As the political arm of the NIBCA, the North Idaho Builders’ Political Action Committee (NIB-PAC) works with the NIBCA but remains a separate entity. Members of this committee interview candidates and review the voting records of those seeking re-election to determine those who support the Building Industry. They also organize a yearly golf tournament to help raise funds.

  • Meets at varying times from April to September, NIBCA office.
  • This committee manages a key fundraiser of the NIBCA. Members organize the largest marketing promotion available to builders of North Idaho. The mission is to promote NIBCA builders, their projects, suppliers, and trade people during the 5-day Show that showcases anywhere from 10 to 29 member Builders.

  • Meets at varying times throughout the year at the NIBCA office.
  • The Education Committee, at the direction of the NIBCA Board of Directors, is charged with developing and overseeing educational programs. They are tasked with the training of new members regarding ethics, bylaws, technology, professionalism and whatever other pertinent information is deemed necessary which will provide those members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to be productive, successful members of the home-building industry.

  • Meets at varying times throughout the year at the NIBCA office.
  • The mission of the Public Relations (PR) committee is to promote the NIBCA and to build value for members in an effort to gain and retain membership. This important committee works to inform the membership and the general public of political and community achievements made by NIBCA members in areas of social, community, charitable, and in governmental and political arenas.

  • Meets at varying times throughout the year at the NIBCA office.
  • These members are recognized for outstanding achievement in member recruitment and retention in the association. The purpose of the Council is to promote new and continuing membership. SPIKE points are earned as new members are recruited. To become a SPIKE, you must sponsor 6 new members within 2 consecutive years. To become a Life SPIKE, a minimum of 2 additional members must be sponsored each year until a total of 26 credits are received. Members only are invited to a celebration party in November.
