Associates’ Committee

This council organizes the major social membership events of the NIBCA such as the annual golf tournaments and the Gone Wild event. The committee is made up of NIBCA Associate members and meets as necessary to plan events.
Home and garden show committee

This committee manages a key fundraiser of the NIBCA and is held annually in March. Members of this committee enjoy the creativity and hard work of combining 100+ diverse businesses into a 3-day show at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Joint government issues committee

This committee includes area municipal, county, and regulatory body representatives addressing critical issues for our industry who understand the importance and value of a healthy new home construction industry in Idaho.
Membership Committee

Energetic and goal-minded members of the NIBCA are committed to this group. The foundation of the Membership Team is to recruit and retain new members. They organize membership drives and new member orientations. They are tasked with the training of new members regarding ethics, bylaws, technology, professionalism, and whatever other pertinent information is deemed necessary which will provide those members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to be productive, successful members of the home-building industry.
North Idaho Builders – Political Action Committee (NIB-PAC)

Meets at varying times throughout the year at the NIBCA office
As the political arm of the NIBCA, the North Idaho Builders’ Political Action Committee (NIB-PAC) works with the NIBCA but remains a separate entity. Members of this committee interview candidates and review the voting records of those seeking re-election to determine those who support the building industry. They also organize a yearly golf tournament to help raise funds.
Parade of Homes Committee

Meets at varying times from April to September, NIBCA office.
This committee manages a key fundraiser and organizes the largest marketing promotion available to builders of North Idaho. The mission is to promote NIBCA builders, their projects, suppliers, and trade people during the 5-day show that showcases anywhere from 10 to 29 member builders.

The Education Committee, at the direction of the NIBCA Board of Directors, is charged with developing and overseeing educational programs. Professional Women in Building council (PWB)

Membership in this Council is available to NIBCA member-company employees only for a cost of only $60 per year. The Council supports the NIBCA through valued assistance related to the Parade of Homes Show, Home & Garden Show, and many other events. The PWB Council awards higher education scholarships annually to deserving students pursuing a building industry-related field
Spike Club

These members are recognized for outstanding achievement in member recruitment and retention in the association. The purpose of the Council is to promote new and continuing membership. SPIKE points are earned as new members are recruited. To become a SPIKE, you must sponsor 6 new members within 2 consecutive years. To become a Life SPIKE, a minimum of 2 additional members must be sponsored each year until a total of 26 credits are received. Members only are invited to a celebration party in November.

Young Professionals Committee

Meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 3:30 pm at various places.
The Young Professionals committee steers NAHB efforts to make federation membership more useful and attractive to home building professionals under 45. The committee provides NAHB leadership with guidance on mentoring, leadership training and education for emerging industry professionals.
Developers Committee

The Developers Committee supports, develops, and promotes responsible, innovative, high quality, and cost-effective land development practices, programs, and resources. The committee reviews and advocates at the local level for land development rules and regulation that ensure a balanced approach between economic and environmental systems. In addition, committee members also make recommendations and technical matters such as infrastructure, design and development, and planning, zoning and subdivision regulations that help our members thrive.
